Alan Hunter
August 6, 1938 - August 26, 2017
In hospital, after a short illness, on August 26, 2017 in his 80th year. Alan was a long time resident of Wentworth Lodge in Dundas, where he received very good care. He is survived by brothers Don (Kelly) of Dundas, and Gord (Jan) of Cambridge. He will be missed by nieces Jody (Bill) of Caledonia, Suzanne (Bill) of St. George, Tasha (Dan) of Dundas, and nephews Brad (Audra) of Montreal, Todd of Ottawa, Ryan (Laura) of Toronto, and Gregg, also of Toronto. Alan was predeceased by his parents Bill and Mary. A lifelong resident of Dundas, Alan worked for Canada Post for 26 years. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and a dedicated philatelist all of his life. His knowledge and collection of stamps were well known both in Canada and the U.K. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King St. East, Dundas (additional parking at The Air Force Club). Donations to Knox Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
