Announcing with broken hearts and deep sadness the sudden passing of Anthony Tomkins at the age of 76 on July 4, 2019. Anthony is now reunited with his parents Alfred and Lillian. He is the beloved husband of Janice for 32 years, who will greatly miss him. Loving father of Brittney (Kris), Glenn (Cyndie), Barbara (Brandon), and Jason. Anthony also leaves behind his brother Barry (Sue), sisters Yvonne (Barry), and Margaret (John), as well as his five grandchildren Ethan, Colby, Sheldon, Avery, Phillip, and two great grandchildren Connor and Carlee. He cherished all his family members, even those who were across the country and over the sea. Anthony was born in the UK and came to start a new life in Canada in February 1966, residing mainly in Dundas and Hamilton. He was a long-time Freemason and worked hard in the steel industry until retirement. Anthony also won The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards for his workmanship. He loved classical music, crosswords, drinking coffee, and charming people with his wit and humour. Anthony will be fondly remembered by his friends and family in Canada and England.
