    Elisabeth Mary Ann Campbell

    November 21, 1931 - December 2, 2021

Elisabeth Mary Ann (Jessop) Campbell (née Wicks) With love and sadness, we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Elisabeth Campbell on December 2nd 2021. “Liz” was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Jessop, in 1966, and her second husband, John Campbell in 2014. A loving mother, she is survived by her four children Lee Ann Jessop, Michael Jessop, Karen Jessop, and Sue Jessop. “Grandma” was truly loved by, and an inspiration to, her eight grandchildren Megan Horachek, Hailey Bloom, Carlin Jessop, Sam Duxbury, Jonah Jessop, Mitchell Fagan, Thomas Duxbury, and Emily Fagan. Liz was born in Hamilton, Ontario to parents Samuel and Florence Wicks. She was an alumnus of Ryerson University, where she studied interior design. After the passing of her first husband at the age of 34, she became both a mother and father to her four children, and a pillar of strength and support. In the summertime Liz would load the kids into the family station wagon “The Woody” and travel across the United States – Vermont was her favourite – enjoying the scenery and the many gift shops along the way. To this day, her only son Mike has never again been seen in a gift shop. When her kids grew up and moved away with families of their own, she and her second husband John would pack up the car and drive to Florida or BC to spend time with their grandkids. They adventured together across Europe and North America, on bus tours, cruises, and road trips. Liz was a talented artist, and these adventures would inspire her painting. She passed her artistic talent and passion onto many of her grandchildren. Mom will always be in the hearts of her kids and grandkids. She was a strong woman, larger than life, with a spirit that will live on. She will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. https://secure-support.heartandstroke.ca/site/SPageServer?pagename=DMDonationForm&s_locale=en_CA&s_fT=cont&s_pres=hsweb&s_cscid=hsweb_nav
