Gerald Albert Rogers
January 14, 1934 - January 17, 2021
After living with Alzheimer’s disease for the last 4 years, Gerry has moved on to meet his many family and friends of whom he spoke so fondly. Gerry was an avid athlete in his youth, after which he graciously gave his time to coaching for many years in lacrosse (Ontario Champs) and minor hockey. Gerry was a proud retiree of Dofasco enjoying a career spanning 39 years. He is predeceased by his wife Gail of 63 years. He is survived by his loving son Mark (Joan), brother Paul (Elizabeth deceased), sister-in-law Judy Irving (Jim Jr. deceased), and his loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has already taken place. A celebration of life will be held when we can all safely get together. In lieu of flowers/gifts a donation in Gerry’s name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family would like to give a nod to the gang on East 33rd, a very large part of Gerry’s life. A sincere thank-you to all care workers at St. Joseph’s hospital, and a very special thanks to all staff involved at Wentworth Lodge in Dundas who helped in every aspect of Gerry’s final journey. You were outstanding in the most difficult of times.
