It is with deep sadness the Hopkins family announces the passing of John at 57 years of age. Beloved son of Norman and the late Peggy, and stepson of Pearl Hopkins. Brother of the late Bill (Barb). Much loved brother of Cathy (Brian) Quinlan. Uncle to Brad, Danny, Dianne, David and Michael. Great uncle to Drew, Travis and Rhylee, Mitchell, Kyle, Joseph, Sophia and baby Connor whom John was wanting to meet but for Covid. John worked at Cashway Lumber in Dundas for many years. John was smart, funny, entertaining and talented. He loved his family and friends. He was proud of his best friend, Pete Rollande for his recording of Angels. John was surprised when Frankie Venom visited him with a Hamilton Tigercat hat, when he was hospitalized years ago. He even got a handshake from Johnny Cash at Hamilton Place. John loved cats, especially Hexy. He loved hikes, art, and anything Batman. Because of Covid, there will be no service. John’s main request was to listen to the Hollies’ song “The air that I breathe”. Please toast a drink to the kind soul that John was.
