Karin Gisela Wellnitz Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Karin surrounded in love by her family on May 12, 2022. Loving wife of Juergen, married for 54 years. Karin and Juergen immigrated to Canada in 1969 from Ansbach, Germany and made a wonderful life in Hamilton, Ontario. Cherished Mama of Bianca (Jack) and Thorsten (Shannon), and adored Oma to Mikayla, Lukas, and Thomas. She was so very proud of you all! Dear sister to Ursula and her family Klausi, Dorle and Johannes - they cherished many European adventures together. Sharing her traditions with her family brought her so much joy, and her warm smile and laughter lit up a room. Frau Wellnitz truly enjoyed teaching Kindergarten at the German Language School in Hamilton and was adored by her students. Karin will be deeply missed by friends and family both in Canada and Germany whom she shared countless memories with. Our beloved Mama and Oma shared her kindness, her caring, her guidance and love for us all, her memories will live on and always be with us. In keeping with Karin's wishes, a private celebration of life has taken place. We would like to thank the caring staff at the Juravinski Hospital for their kindness.
