Lucille Sylvia Wardrope
July 3, 1929 - September 25, 2021
Peacefully on September 25th, 2021, Lucille passed away at Willowgrove Long Term Care Residence. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband, David Ramsay Wardrope, and son, David Scott Wardrope, and will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Garret, Shannon (Taylor) and Jeremy, her daughter, Diane, and her son-in-law, Gerald Kowalyshyn. Lucille was an amazing seamstress and teacher. As a trailblazing Family Studies Department Head at Lord Elgin High School (now Bob Bateman), she taught men how to sew, cook and be independent. She loved to travel and golf and spend the winters in Florida at the ‘Blue’ house. Fondly referred to as ‘The Princess' by all who knew her, she did things her way and likely decided the time had come to make an entrance, since her husband, son, and siblings had gone before her. A special thank you goes out to the staff at Willowgrove Long Term Care in Ancaster, where they have lovingly cared for her for the past four years. A private family service has been scheduled.
