Rodney Adam Gadawski

November 1, 1964 - January 6, 2022

In loving memory of Rodney Gadawski of Ancaster, who passed away peacefully at the age of 57, on January 6. "Uncle Rod" will be remembered lovingly by many friends and family. Rod was predeceased in 2005 by his older brother Richard (Rick) Gadawski of Brantford, husband to Joanne. He was also predeceased by his mother Ruby Gadawski of Ancaster, in August 2021. Rod is survived by his two daughters, Megan and Holly Gadawski of Paris and Hamilton, as well as his chosen daughter Taylor Rossin of Smithville. Rod also leaves behind his sister Jayne Smillie, his father Henry (Hank) Gadawski of Ancaster, as well as ex wife and good friend Michelle Gadawski of Grimsby, with whom he shared his children. Rod left behind three nieces, Jodi Smillie, and Sarah and Katie Gadawski, as well as two nephews Stephen and Rick De Bona. Rod will be remembered fondly by the O'Neil family whom he lived with, and the Naves family who also loved him dearly. Rod leaves behind so many other wonderful friends. Rod graduated from Mohawk College, Hamilton, and spent a career as a Millwright. Rod raised his daughters in Ancaster where he grew up. Rod took his daughters to Turkey Point to spend summers boating, fishing and water tubing. Rod enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars, concerts and had a well known love of animals. Rod spent many weekends helping his good friend Jess build a beautiful home as "team getting it done". Rod will always be remembered for his love of helping others, James (Jimmy) Dean, Bruce Springsteen and the Rolling Stones. Rod embodied Bob Segers "Like a Rock". He will be remembered for his lovely smile and his jolly laugh. Rod will be missed dearly and with love. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a future date.
