Steve Varga
April 5, 1931 - March 23, 2018
On March 23, 2018, STEVE Varga passed away, peacefully, with his wife, Carmen and daughter, Laura by his side. STEVE was seen as cordial and pleasant by the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital where he was provided with the most dedicated, compassionate care that goes above and beyond their duty. STEVE was a loving husband and father who worked all his life as a mining and metallurgical engineer. He travelled to different countries, including Guatemala, where he met his wife, Carmen, on April 21, 1976. He was a proud Canadian, but most certainly Hungarian at heart and soul. STEVE will be missed by friends and relatives, from two different continents. They were touched by his vibrant personality, his generosity, and overall by his predisposition to lend a hand whenever needed. “Our lives have been changed forever; but we find comfort in knowing that he is in a better place, embraced by his parents whom he loved, cared for, and respected until he knew no more. Our extraordinary, beloved STEVE; YOU will live in our hearts, eternally! We adore you papito. God bless you!” STEVE was born in Gúta, a Hungarian city in Europe. His ashes will be taken to visit the Danube, which was always his favourite site to be at since he was a child.
