Our youngest brother passed this month, with no will, Power of Attorney, no ID (lost his wallet) and no money. We heard about Circle of Life from the Chaplain at the hospital. From the first contact, Gisela and Karin put us at ease, took care of every detail and treated us with kindness and empathy. It was complicated because of the circumstances, but both these women were professional, knowledgeable and incredibly caring. Our family is forever grateful to Karin and Gisela for making this sad time so much less stressful. Thank you both! ♥️ Read more

Karin Schuett and the staff at Circle Of Life made us feel extremely comfortable from the moment we walked in the door. We wanted a true Celebration Of Life for our mom and Karin was instrumental in making that happen. The atmosphere at Circle Of Life is calming, peaceful and contemporary. We loved the way the room was set up with covered tables and chairs, so people could sit and share memories together. We had many special requests and Karin made sure everything was as we wanted it, down to the smallest detail. On the day of the Celebration we were able to leave everything in the hands of her wonderful staff, so that we could spend the time with family and friends. Karin also helped us with the overwhelming task of cancelling things and notifying agencies, etc. afterward, giving us a guide to assist us, and graciously offering to look after several of these tasks. Circle of Life's assistance extended beyond the Celebration, with Karin helping to coordinate the internment and attending and supporting us through it. Circle Of Life made the saddest and most overwhelming time in our lives so much easier to get through. We will always be grateful to Karin for her support, and her kindness. If funeral planning is a horrendous thought for you, why not think of a visit with a friend to Circle of Life in Dundas. We did, Helen & Maggie, where we did the deed with Karin Schuett. Karin is very approachable, pleasant, flexible and so helpful. With a relaxed demeanour and atmosphere we did not experience the slightest pressure to do other than OUR wishes. For one’s eventual last chore, let it be as you wish in the most pleasing, relaxed professional Funeral Home you will find, one that CARES. Thanks Karin and staff for your time, invaluable knowledge and guidance. (Good coffee a bonus) Maggie & Helen Read more

From the moment we contacted Karin at Circle of Life to the end of the process when we received mum's ashes, we were cared for with deep support. Everything is so well organized and professional, but at the same time, there is a very strong sense of emotional consideration and understanding. The premises are beautiful and relaxing, and Circle of Life has a lovely selection of vessels for a loved one's ashes. We talked to Karin and Janice, who are very calming in their approach. Karin answered all of our questions and provided all necessary documentation without any kind of complication or fuss. I can't recommend Circle of Life highly enough. When a family or individual is going through the shock of loss, this cremation centre is the best place to go to have everything organized calmly and to experience genuine understanding and heartfelt condolences. I recently lost my sister and assisted my brother-in-law with her funeral plans. I wish to express sincere appreciation to Circle of Life, for their superior service, guided with kindness and compassion, in getting everything in place for her Celebration of Life. Karin, the Funeral Director, is so kind and understanding, guides you with great suggestions, and made this experience a pleasant one considering the circumstances. Her professionalism would get her a five star rating from our families. The atmosphere at Circle of Life is truly so bright and welcoming, and don't be surprised to get greeted by their adorable dog Emma at the door. Circle of Life will definitely be on my list for any future losses in my life. Thanks so muck Karin - from Linda Welton and David Jenkins Read more

My mother and I went to visit Karin at Circle of Life to have a tour and find out some more information. I already knew Karin. My mother had met her a couple of times and was so impressed that she decided she wanted Karin to be in charge of her final stop. Karin showed us around, explained the steps involved and answered all our questions in her gentle, kind, friendly, intelligent and compassionate way. The place itself is beautiful. My mother and I came away with more to think about but happy with our choice of Circle of Life. Read more

Its been 4 weeks since we said goodbye to my Mother.. Anne Myers. The loss of my Mother is quite frankly the most acutely painful event I have ever experienced and I have to say that The Circle Of Life kept my partner Alex Dejong and I standing during this most painful time. Words can never express how helpful Karen was. They literally took care of everything and guided us through this process with caring, concern, and extreme knowledge. I am so grateful to The Circle Of Life. Read more

Our family reached out to Circle of Life Director Karin Schuett and team soon after my mother passed. Karin’s professionalism and compassion in guiding us through the decisions and next steps eased the pain and burden of those most difficult first days and weeks. Most impressive was the accommodations made for my mother’s memorial utilizing the beautiful gathering room Karin and her team set up for us. Our family is grateful for all the kindness shown by Circle of Life staff and Karin in particular. Their careful and considerate planning allowed us to celebrate the life of my mother in a way we hoped for, and that Karin helped us realize. Read more

My family had a very positive experience with Circle of Life CBC. Of course, it was a very difficult time, and with so much to attend to the Owner/Director and her staff made an incredible impression on us from our very first meeting. Throughout the process they helped us with every step, and we received compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated attention that I think made an enormous contribution to the family's well being. Karen and her team at Circle of Life were so supportive and caring towards my family after my sister passed. She guided us through all the decisions and arrangements. She was never far away at our celebration of life, always busy refreshing coffee and making sure we were staying strong. The entire time we were in her presence she was caring, generous and so professional. Her kindness shown to my son( who was not handling things well) was above and beyond a business owner. I highly recommend having the Circle of Life team handle your end of life arrangements, professional, dedicated and reasonable prices. Five stars in my book! Thanks Karen, from all of us. Read more

Funerals can be a very sad time in ones life but that said the Circle of Life is serene, calming and a very special place. The decor is so nice including the pictures from the RBG. Karin and her staff are wonderful, never pushy and are always in the back ground but right there if you need them. You have a real say in how you want your visitation/service to go, from being able to bring in your own food and flowers or they will take care of that for you. I found this very comforting. Karin will look after everything that you need to know before and after the visitation/service. Everything is done very professionally but not with the grim faces of so many funeral directors and funeral homes. Thanks so much Read more

  • Patrick Rowan,

These people love their work and it shows in everything they do. We were very pleased by their level of care and engagement. Karen Schuett's experience and knowledge come shining through.Circle of Life has the most spacious and beautifully decorated premises. For us they were ideal for the kind of service that we wanted to have - a hopeful tone that felt more like a celebration of a life well lived. Amazingly, Circle of Life only has one funeral per day so, in addition to having the whole premises, there was no rush to get us out. In fact, we left the premises for the graveside service and then came back and had a luncheon gathering at Circle of Life. This convenience made for very easy planning and allowed us to focus on having a great service and gathering afterwards. In addition to all of our funeral needs they also took us through a very brief process involving the cancellation and notifications of our mother's government accounts and provided us with a comprehensive check list of personal accounts and services to follow up on. I would recommend Circle of Life to anyone looking for a reasonable price, compassionate guidance and a beautiful atmosphere. Read more

Two weeks ago, I had the immense pleasure of attending the official opening of The Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre. The Circle of Life Centre provides a fresh concept and approach to anyone needing funeral services. It's modern interior, and warm and welcoming staff, make the whole experience one of comfort and healing. Earl Nightingale said in 1956 and I quote: "Be of service...build... work ...dream ...create". I believe the owners Karin Schuett and Frank Schmidt and their wonderful team are doing just that. Their compassion, dedication and professionalism is a gift to all who enter the Center. I wish you all many years of success. May you be blessed for the professional services you so graciously provide. Read more

I have had the opportunity to work closely with Karin over the past couple of years. Karin’s knowledge of the funeral business and her compassion and tenderness towards people is exceptional. She is a great listener, and offers the guidance that people need before making any decisions. Having joined Karin on various speaking engagements I have learned a great deal from her about the importance of funeral pre-planning and encourage my clients to get this part of their financial plans in order. Karin has showed me the importance of family discussions around these tough (and too often taboo) topics and the value in understanding and documenting wishes. I highly recommend Karin. She has peoples’ best interests at heart and takes the time needed to ensure they are comfortable and understand the future plans they make. I know my clients have more peace of mind after talking with Karin. Read more
